I had the opportunity to work with Elizabeth Christoforetti, founder of new Boston architecture startup, Supernormal, during winter break, January 2016. Among other projects, I was able to create a splash image for the website. This image is a reflection of the block-scale urbanism, architectural interests, and graphic style indicative of Supernormal.
The production of this graphic involved digitally modeling a block in Rhino to allow for the roof to spell out “Supernormal.” This was a completely creative process, and focused on texture, grain, breaking up scale, and diverse and lively architectural expression. The remainder of the graphic was produced using vector illustration, relying on tones more than linework to differentiate planes of the isometric view.
